SUMMARY: We are seeking a dedicated building maintenance and operations coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our facility, ensuring its smooth operation, and safeguarding valuable items in transit. LOCATION: 445 Park Ave New York, NY 10022
COMPENSATION: $20 - $22/hour (Commensurate with experience)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide essential support for day-to-day building operations.
- Perform routine building repair and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Assist in departmental redesign projects, including the moving of furniture and equipment.
- Help maintain inventory of facility supplies.
- Provide security escort for construction contractors.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs or improvements.
- Apply paint or other finishes to a variety of surfaces, including walls, ceilings, doors, and trim, using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of facility operations and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Must have problem–solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Great attention to detail.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Individuals must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
- Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds repeatedly on a daily basis.
- Occasional local travel as needed.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
